For Swallowed Star fans, good news, on August 11, at the Tencent Video Animation Festival 2023, Swallowed Star is having a special advanced screening of episodes 86-87. It is only for those attending the festival. Whether or not these episodes will be released for other viewers is unknown at this point, most likely, and this is my guess, the series will restart again at the middle of this month or the end of the month or next. However nothing is confirmed so it might be summer 2024 for all we know lol, but I remain hopeful that it will be this month or the next, after all the studio did say "see you in summer"

Definitely about to be an amazing episode with epic fights. But it's kind of silly that XY is really able to defend himself against Yun Shan, let alone actually fight back lmao. I think it kind of minimizes Yun Shan and his achievement of reaching Dou Zong, plus the power possessed by a Duo Zong. Like come on, this dude can walk on air, and even skip across the sky lol, so how can XY even run long enough to evade his attacks, especially when dude can lowkey teleport?! The cultivation differences in every realm was made sure to highlight the giant power gaps of each realm, which Dou Zong can utilize and control a special ability called "spatial strength." So he's definitely on another level, literally, being on 8th stage of dou qi while XY only 7th. Even though one realm divides them, it's a huge divide, like this quote...

It's a cultural thing, ancient customs where a master is equal to a father. Of course this is a work of fiction so using this as a plot device drives this tragedy lol

Not sure if I mentioned this before but I recall that we had similar customs in the past in the west in regard to arranged marriages. The only thing I can say is that we lost that tradition a long time ago, as well as our ability to respect our elderly people. Some families were good enough to bring their children up to respect them but if you ever visit a western country you'll find a lot more westerners who don't.

Well, I agree with respecting your elders, but you have to keep in mind, just because you're an elder doesn't mean or give you the right to disrespect younger people just because you want to. No one has the right to speak any type of way to someone, rather old or young. Which older people are less filtered and some even bully the youth verbally and/or physically. Some can be mean AF lmao, which is probably some of the reason western youth have become less tolerable of disrespect.

Though, this does not defend the many youths who are just POS, with no manners and respect no authority, just reckless and bold with terrible attitudes. This types are going pass "rebelling phase" and just being lil demons, who disrespect everyone, including their parents smh. My opinion is they need their a$$es whopped, some discipline, quit being soft on them. Though, there then brings up the topic of abuse, that's a different story though...

Personally, I don't find the lack of filter a problem because it lets you see what type of person they are. It's only if they have no control over it completely where it becomes a problem like saying inappropriate things or cursing in front of children. As for what I wrote though, you mostly explained the reasoning for it in your second paragraph. It missed one point though and that's because they were taught by their parents to behave like that.
To give you an example, as a child I was one of the best dressed kids in my old neighbourhood, always wearing the latest brands. Some people think that Xiao Yan would have won if Yun Yun didn't interfere in their last fight during the 3 year agreement episodes but considering Yao Lao's power was running out, I doubt he would have even pulled off a strong enough attack to kill Yun Shan when he was falling.
As for the forest hunt, you are right she was the reason they found him faster but even if she didnt, it was only a matter of time till they found him anyway. She was most likely under orders to do that as well which is why they were waiting.
As for her not caring about his situation, from the moment she realised who he was when he appeared to save his father, she tried to resolve the situation amicably and even threatened to remove Yun Leng from his position as elder. Xiao Yan was irrational throughout that and became even more irrational due to Yun Leng's taunting. Throughout that fight she was trying her best to calm Xiao Yan down and even called out to save him a couple of times. In regard to when she was chasing him to stop him from attacking Yun Shan, she was conflicted in her actions which is why she had to remind herself of who she was which was the same seen with Nalan. She could have easily stopped Xiao Yan from running away after her teacher hit him with the tracing skill but didnt when they were at the sect.
As for the forest hunt and the use of the beacon skill, as I mentioned before she was most likely under orders to use it. Even after that we saw her apologising to him and making her palm bleed because she hated herself for using it.
She could have easily captured him not once but twice but instead she removed the ability to trace him and let him go. This in turn caused her to receive punishment for her actions and Yun Shan took control of the sect. Now if she didnt care about his situation, he wouldnt have been able to walk away after killing an elder in front of everyone in their sect.

well not really he was a fine opening act to Xiao x Lan sect war im happy they didnt drag his involvement further as he is clearly out classed here and i really like him as a character being able to accept this and be a man about it + he knows Yun Yun doesn't really love him rather than misjudging his opponent and dragging a fight he cant win just out of pride witch we see in most other anime in this kind of encounters he is the Pill king and exits out with dignity even after a defeat max respect from me ^_^ its simply not his time yet to win over Yun Yun and he knows it maybe in the future who knows
